Charles Mcfarland

Charles Richard McFarland MSGT (Ret) was born in Newtown, Illinois, on May 29, 1938, passed away on June 24, 2013. Charles joined the United States Air Force in 1957, where he worked as an aircraft mechanic. During his service he had several tours, with one being in Vietnam. Not long after retiring from the Air Force in 1978, he went to work for Lear Siegler at Randolph Air Force Base, as an aircraft mechanic, he worked there until he retired in 2008. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Maria McFarland, parents Glenn and Mary McFarland, and brother Larry McFarland. Charles is survived by his daughter Laura McFarland- Reinhardt and husband Mark; granddaughters Lauren Felder, Tiffany Rowin and husband Hunter; and two great-grandchildren Lilith and Aries Rowin, and sister-in-law Marjorie McFarland. Charles will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2013, from 12noon to 2:00pm. Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday. Graveside service will be held on Monday, July 1, 2013 at 10:00 am , Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
