Charles Davis

Charie Davis, 74, of Cibolo, TX, passed away, September 26th, 2024. Charlie was born to Henry and Olivia in San Antonio, TX on November 14th, 1949. He married Peggy Ann Stapper on October 20, 1973. Charlie graduated from Edison High School in 1968 and then attended San Antonio College.

Charlie was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed his family, softball, coaching little league (back in the day) and football, but most of all he enjoyed his children, grandchildren, and friends. Charlie was one of a kind, he never met a stranger, he could talk to a wall if it would listen. One of her favorite things was to be in the press box on Friday nights at the Clemens or Steele games, he truly loved his coaching SCUC family. He was so proud to be part of the SCUC athletic program, over the last 33 seasons. He was very proud of his children who are both educators in the SCUC school district. Charlie’s true passion was the love for his family and many friends.

He is survived by his children, Missy Raines (Trey) and Chad Davis (Amanda); grandchildren: Evan Busch, Charlotte Davis and Cannon Davis and Dog: Millie. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Ann Stapper and his parents, Henry, and Olivia Davis.

The family will be having a ceremony at the Stapper Family Cemetery on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 10:30am. There will be a celebration of life at the VFW on FM 78 starting at 3pm that day as well.
