Cecil Vickers

Elder Cecil F. Vickers died March 12, 2012 at the age of 87. He was born October 25, 1924 in Cheapside, (Gonzales County) Texas to Oscar and Florence (Kellogg) Vickers. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Alvin Vickers, Brandon Vickers, and Doris Claxton and grandson Leslie Low. He is survived by his wife, Mary C. (Tommye) (Terrell) Vickers and daughters, Tempie Callaway and husband Perry, and Connie Low and husband Junus. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Tara Callaway, Sonya Mollicone and husband Marc, and Melissa Johnson. Also survived by great grandchildren Devon Johnson, Mitchell Mollicone, Mason Mollicone and Kaylee Callaway. Also survived by one sister, Elaine Horn, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held March 22, 2012 at the Schertz Funeral Home in Schertz, Texas with visitation from 10:00am to 12:00pm followed by service at 12:00pm. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 2:00pm.
