Cecil Jacobs, Jr.

Cecil “Sonny” H. Jacobs, Jr., 84, passed away at home on March 7, 2020. He was born
August 4, 1935 in Brownsville, TX. He was the middle child of Cecil Jacobs and
Emily Champion Jacobs.
Sonny met Marilyn Joan Edgar, who was the love of his life. They were together
over 60 years and the marriage was blessed with two daughters, Pam and Kim.
Sonny served twenty years in the United States Air Force, and then had a 2nd career
at Fairchild Aviation as a General Manager.
Sonny loved the Lord and was very active in church where he served in many
capacities. He was also active in the Masonic Lodge.
Sonny grew up with a love of playing sports and when he was unable to play
anymore, he watched sports on TV with his daughters. Sonny was a jokester,
storyteller, never met a stranger and truly loved his family and friends.
Sonny was preceded in death by parents, Cecil and Emily Jacobs; sister Joanne
Jacobs; and brother George Jacobs.
Sonny is survived by his loving wife Marilyn; and his two daughters, Pam
McCormick and Kim Morgan; three grandchildren, Jennifer and husband Jose, Kelcie,
Kalyn and fiancé Gage; seven great-grandchildren, Ray and girlfriend Jasmin, Jose,
Jr., Justin, Jeremy, Liana, Trenton (TJ) and Macyn; and one great-great-grandchild,
Yessica, and many loving cousins.
The family is asking anyone who would like to share a favorite story or memory to
do so through the Schertz Funeral Homes website.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Disabled American
Veterans or the charity of your choice.
