Carolyn Venglar
January 31, 1943 — April 28, 2015
Carolyn Krueger Venglar was born in Seguin, Texas, on January 31, 1943, to Adolph F. Krueger and Ruby Borchers, and passed away in Live Oak, Texas, on April 28, 2015. She attended Draughtons Business College and received her diploma in May of 1962. From 1962 to 1964, she worked at Southwest Bell. Carolyn later married the love of her life, Edward Venglar, in Seguin, Texas, on July 4, 1964 at St. James Church. She was a Church secretary at St. Joan of Arc in Kirby, Texas, for 24 years, a member of the Parish Council, a CCD teacher, and a member of the women's club. At Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Schertz, Texas, Carolyn was a member of the church counting team and a member of the Good Shepherd Knights of Columbus Council 6358 Ladies Auxillary. Carolyn will always be remembered as a devoted mother and wife. She is survived by her husband, Edward Venglar; children, Steve Venglar and wife Nicole, and Jeff Venglar; grandchildren, Sean and Eric Venglar; and siblings, Janice Gary and Vernon Krueger. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 4, 2015, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary to be recited at 7:00PM, at the Schertz Funeral Home. The Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at 10:00 AM, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Father Ed Pavlicek officiating. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested any donations be made to the Good Shepherd Building Fund or any charity of their choice.
