Carmen Dougherty

October 16, 1922 — May 18, 2015

Carmen Dougherty, born on October 16, 1922 in Tampa FL, passed away on May 18, 2015, in Garden Ridge, TX at the age of 92. Carmen served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, and was longtime resident of Marion, TX. She was a loving mother and wife who enjoyed cooking for her family and also won several cooking contest with her recipes. Carmen is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin R. Dougherty. She is survived by her daughter, Tammy M. Dougherty and husband Alan Ramirez; son, Michael K. McGrath; granddaughter Ana M. McGrath. A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2015, from 4:00PM to 8:00PM, at the Schertz Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 22, 2015, at 9:00AM, at the Schertz Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers family request that donations be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, 12672 Silicon Drive, Suite 105 San Antonio, TX 78249.
