Msgt Carlie Ray Mayberry USAF Ret. born on January 9, 1937 in Baskin, LA, passed away on October 8, 2017 at the age of 80. Carlie proudly served in the United States Air Force for more than 20years and in that time he earned The State of Texas Lone Star Distinguished Service Medal. He went on to work for civil service and also retired from the University Health System as an X-Ray Technician. Carlie was a craftsman and was known for making fine jewelry. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carlie and Edna Mayberry; son in law, Stewart Lee Hickman Sr,. Carlie is survived by his loving wife Eva Charlene Mayberry; daughters, Eva La Rue Hickman, Renee Carla Mayberry-Olivarez and husband Robert; grandchildren, Stewart Lee Hickman Jr. and wife Crystina, Carlie Andrew Hickman, Zander Allen Olivarez, Zoi Alise Olivarez and Bianca Hulsey; sister-in-law, Frankie Geneva Boyd and numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 1:45PM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with Military Honors.
