Carl Hinton

August 29, 1941 — March 8, 2014

CMSgt Carl D. Hinton, United States Air Force (Ret.), born on August 29, 1941 in Youngstown, Ohio, passed away on March 8, 2014 in McKinney, Texas, at the age of 72. Carl had a distinguished military career, retiring after 23 years of service. He then worked for the USPS and after retiring with 20 years of service as a Letter Carrier, he returned to school to become a Paralegal and volunteered as such. His parents, John L. Hinton and Cora I. Lachut, and brother, Charles Hinton, preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Rose M. Hinton; children, Linda J. Hinton and Paul Hinton; grandchildren, Taylor and Cole Hinton; brothers, Robert and Jack Hinton; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 16, 2014, from 7:00PM - 9:00PM, at Schertz Funeral Home. The Graveside Service will be held on Monday, March 17, 2014, at 11:00AM, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, with United States Air Force Honors.
