Camryn Ann Gauger, 21, passed away from this world on March 10, 2019. Cami was born November 6, 1997 in Thousand Oaks, California. After California, she lived in Longmont, Colorado where she spent most of her young life. Cami attended Niwot high school and was editor of the school yearbook. After graduating in 2016, she attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas majoring in Communications. She grew to love TTU and was proud to be a Red Raider. She was an avid sports fan and loved attending the football and basketball games. At orientation she met the love of her life, Matthew Hendrick. After graduating TTU in August of 2019, they planned to start their lives together in Houston, Texas.

Cami was a free sprited young woman who loved life, dogs, surfing, beaches, horses, and her family. She managed to get her whole family hooked on Phase 10 which she always had with her...she was virtually unbeatable at the game. Her greatest loves were her dad, mom, sissy, Matt, and her dog Rosie.

She is survived by her parents, Kim and Cole Gauger; her sissy, Katie Gauger; aunt and uncle, Ray and Melissa Matthews; aunt and uncle, Tracy and Manuel De La Cruz; aunt and uncle, Eddie and Vanessa Metz; cousins, Jake and Becca, Chad, and Bryce Matthews; cousins, Sydney and Derek De La Cruz; and second cousin Hannah Matthews.

She is preceded in death by grandparents, Dennis and Sue Watson, Bud and Joyce Gauger.

Services will be held at 1:30 pm, Friday, March 15, 2019 at the Schertz Funeral Home in Schertz, Texas under the direction of Nick Hester and Travis Bailey, her small group leaders from the church she attended in Lubbock. Cami will be laid to rest at the Holy Cross Cemetery. Reception will follow at the Schertz Civic Center, 1400 Schertz Pkwy, bldg 5.

In lieu of flowers, Cami's parents request donations to Animal Rescue Mission (ARM) at www.theanimalrescuemission.org from which she obtained her beloved dog Rosie.

Cami Gauger was, is, and will always be loved by those who had the joy of knowing her.
