A Time to be Born: Calvin Gibson was born on September 11, 1952, Greenville Mississippi to the late Amie Gipson and Edgar Allen. He was the youngest son of three brothers. A Time to Serve: Calvin confessed to Christ at an early age. He was a member of Livingway Church since 1999 and he remained dedicated to Gods Word. Calvin had a deep exuberating passion for God, family, friends, and sports activities. He served various positions, but his passion was being the Director for The Substance Abuse Ministry where he served and ministered with deep passion to people, and shared his deep love of Jesus Christ. A Time to Learn: Calvin was a graduate of Webster University with a Master in Computer Information and Resources Management and a Bachelor of Science in Aviation Management. A Time to Work: He has worked for the Boeing Company for 23 years as a Logistical Engineer. Calvin also entered into the Air Force in 1974 and served many years until he decided to move on to the next phase in his life. A Time to be Happy: Calvin was a people person and everyone he met, he shared the love of the Lord and left a lasting impression. His gift of caring and his lovely smile, and the glow on his face, and the shine on his white mustache was a jewel to many hearts he touched. A Time to Go Home: He departed on Friday, September 10, 2010, one day prior to his 58th birthday. He is united in glory with his parents, Amie Gipson and other saints. A Time to Rejoice: Calvin leaves to cherish his precious memory: His Loving wife and companion of over forty years, Sylvia Lancaster-Gibson, son, Timothy Gibson Sr, two grandchildren, Timetria Kalani and Timothy Carnell Gibson Jr., daughter-in-law, Patricia Gibson, brothers: Richard Sr., of Greenville, MS, Ira (LeKathryn)Gipson of Jackson, MS, Edgar Allen Jr. of Chicago, IL, James (Betty) Allen of Memphis TN, Roosevelt (Georgia) Mitchell of Orlando, FL., Michael Hewitt of Milwaukee, WI., Sisters: Clara and Brenda Gipson, of Memphis, TN, and a host of nephews, nieces, and cousins. Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, September 19, 2010 at Living Way Christian Church. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, September 20, 2010 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
