It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Caleb Bradley Smith, unexpectedly at the age of 27 in Schertz, TX. Caleb was born on June 25, 1997, in Killeen, TX. Caleb was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, whose presence brightened the lives of all who knew him. He is survived by his Father-Charles Bradley (Brad) Smith and Stepmother-Paula Smith (Sanford), his Mother-Jennifer Bagwell and Stepfather-Randall Bagwell, his Sister-Valyssa Gonzalez (Smith), and his cherished Nephews-Carson and Costin.
Caleb worked for H-E-B in New Braunfels, TX and Murdoch’s Ranch & Supply Store in Schertz, TX. Caleb was known for his infectious smile, generous spirit, and unwavering loyalty to those he cared about. He had a gifted way of connecting with people, offering kindness and warmth to everyone he encountered.
His family and friends will forever remember him for his zest for challenges, dares and competitions amongst family, competitive dominance of board games, generous heart, infectious smile, and the joy he brought into their lives.
Though his time with us was far too brief, Caleb’s legacy will live on in the memories of all who loved him. His family finds solace in knowing that his love and influence will continue to accompany them as they navigate this world without him.
A memorial service will be held by family and friends to honor Caleb’s life and memory on Saturday, December 14, 2024, 11:30 CST at VFW Post 4676 in Universal City, TX. A celebration of life the following day, with light food and refreshments, will be held at 12:30 PM CST at his favorite brewery, Guadalupe Brewing Company, in New Braunfels, TX with family and friends. Please come as you are, casual attire is encouraged.

Texas Youth Hunting Program (TYHP) takes over a thousand youths and their adult companion on hunts. Caleb loved his time on Canyon Lake, floating rivers, and scouting locations for Texas wild game. The TYHP shares Caleb’s passion of educating others to explore nature's classroom and become life-long supporters of Texas' rich natural resources. TYHP teaches the important role that landowners and hunters play in wildlife conservation.
