Brenda Robke

August 23, 1947 — March 2, 2011

Brenda Mays Robke passed away on March 2nd 2011. She was born August 23, 1947 the daughter of Hentzel and Callie Mays of Fries Va. She married Wayne (Butch) Robke of Knoxville Illinois in Coronado California on December 19, 1970. Their marriage was blessed with two children, Paul Robke of Overland Park Kansas and Leslie Cox of Cibolo Texas. She is survived by her grandchildren Ella and Nolan Robke, Ashley and Caelan Cox, son in law Steven Cox, brothers Kenneth, Buddy and Ronald, Sisters Dora, Jo and Lula. She was preceded in death by her sister Ina and Brother Roger. Brenda graduated from Fries High School in 1966 a member of the National Beta Club, and the College of the Mainland, Texas City Texas in 1984. She enjoyed a successful career in the insurance industry retiring as regional sales representative for Florist Mutual Ins co of Edwardsville Il. She enjoyed leadership roles with her childrens activities such as den mother and little league coach. She spent her retirement years enriching the lives of her family and everyone who knew her. Interment ceremonials are expected to be at Mount Hope Church in Fries Va, at a date to be announced later. The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be submitted in her name to Elks Scholarship Fund, 1640 North Henderson St, Suite E, Galesburg, Il 6140.
