Brenda Kay Coy Machgan (Bren, Mom, Grammi )

Passed away from a struggle with cancer at the age of 70. She was living in Cibolo, Texas at the time of her death on April 20, 2024.

She was born in Hamilton Co. Indiana at Riverview Hospital on April 3, 1954. She was the second Daughter of Mary and William Coy. She Graduated from Hamilton Heights High School in 1972 then married Terald Machgan July 22nd of that same year. She lived in Cicero Indiana until after the Birth of their first daughter and then moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana where the family lived for 13 years. She then moved to San Antonio, Tx. and worked for La Petite Academy for 25 years. She was a military spouse for 26 years. During her time in Texas, they loved going to the Texas Motor Speedway to watch the NASCAR Races, spending time with her family and her fur babies.

Surviving Brenda is Terry, husband of 51 years, 3 children April (Machgan) and Richard Ward, Kristina and Amanda Machgan, her granddaughters Tisha Ward Kirchen, Charity Williams and Faith Ward, and Great Grandson Atlas Kirchen, her sister Kathy (Coy) and David Pryor, she had numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, also she had her fur babies Winnie and Indy.

She was preceded in death by her parents Mary and William Coy, her Granny Amie Dyer, her brothers William John and Thomas James Coy, a niece Ticia Marie and nephew Thomas James (TJ) Coy, also her fur babies Nicky, Smokey, Missy, Thumper, Pumpkin, Texas and Brea.

She will be dearly missed by all her family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held for Brenda on April 5, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Schertz Funeral Home.
