Bobby Tripp

Bobby Lee Tripp passed away on the 17th of January 2018. He was born in Lenox, Georgia on the 12th of November 1935, to the late Stella (Walker) and Ivy Tripp.

Bob proudly served 21 years in the US Air Force followed by 17 years as a civil servant at Midwest Commissary Region, at Fort Sam Houston. Bob was a proud Mason for over 30 years. He was an avid golfer that never met a golf course he did not like. At his best, he was a 5 handicap with numerous aces (holes in one) for which he was very proud. He spent many happy days with friends and loved ones driving around golf courses in his cart.

Bob and wife Marie enjoyed many years of travel, both domestic and international. They spent many happy trips in their RV traveling all over the US, including trips to Alaska.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 27 years Marie, his children (from a previous marriage to Anita Hinebaugh) including Sheryl (Keith) Thomas, Leslie (Dan) Perkins, Bobby Lee Tripp Jr, and sister Ann Hancock. Marie's children Patricia Hall, Thomas (Josie), David and William Sweeney. Grandchildren Kris (Kimberly) Tripp, Brandi (Justin) Rauschuber, Kyle Tripp, Cameron Perkins, Katherine Perkins, Adam and Nick Thomas. Bob is also survived by 6 great grandchildren Katelyn, Kinley, Jenny, Sean, Brooklyn and Brett Lee.

Graveside services and interment will be held on 31 January 2018 at 0945 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital.
