Bobbie Hatton

August 17, 1943 — January 9, 2016

M/SGT (Retired) United States Air Force Bobbie Frank Hatton, aka "Honey", "Uncle Bob", "Poppop" of Nacogdoches, Texas, was taken into the arms of the Lord on January 9 th , 2016. He was a resident of Universal City for the past 35 years. He was married to the love of his life and best friend, Mae Hatton, for over 46 years. Bob and Mae were married on February 20 th , 1969 at the Presbyterian Church in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. Bob was also a member of the United Methodist Church in Universal City. He was a very caring and compassionate man that loved his family. He was an avid golfer (par 78) and loved the New Orleans Saints. Bob served in the USAF for 23 honorable years. He was stationed at various locations from Vietnam, Bitburg AFB, Spangdahlem AFB, Tinker AFB, Keesler AFB, and Randolph AFB. He was preceded in death by his parents Ame and Inez Hatton, and sister Wilma. He is survived by his wife, Mae Hatton, three daughters, nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, brother Jim, and sister Polly. Visitation will be held from 5PM-9PM on January 21, 2016 at Schertz Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held on January 22, 2016 at 11AM in the Chapel at Schertz Funeral Home, Minister Lenny Dagg and Pastor Linda Baumheckel officiating. Interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Universal City United Methodist Church in Memory of Bobbie Frank Hatton.
