Billie Gamble

May 12, 1929 — November 29, 2015

Billie Kate "B.K." Gamble went to be with her Lord after passing away on November 28, 2015, having lived her 86 years to the fullest. B.K. was loved, had a wonderful sense of humor, and always appreciated a great sense of humor in others. She enjoyed painting, was a voracious reader, and was an expert bridge player who played for more than 60 years. Together, B.K. and Buddy were active in Oak Meadow Methodist Church here in San Antonio. As the third of five children born to William Harold and Iva Beasley in Corpus Christi, Texas, B.K. was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Sybil Jo Hatch and Mary Elizabeth Rials; brother, William Harold Beasley, JR,. B.K. is survived by her beloved husband, M.H. "Buddy" Gamble, whom she married 40 years ago in Corpus Christi, Texas; children, Donna Kay McKinney, Sue A. Johnson, Lane Johnson and wife Martha O. Johnson; six grandchildren, 13 great- grandchildren, sister, Iva Corbin; plus a myriad of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great nephews, great- great nieces and great - great nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 3, 2015 for a Memorial service at 6:00PM at the Schertz Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request a memorial donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
