Bill Rose
June 6, 1955 — December 7, 2013
Bill Rose left us suddenly and unexpectedly on December 7, 2013. He was born in Santa Ana, California on June 6, 1955, the 4th of 5 children born to Ruth and Billy Rose. Bill was happiest when he had grease under his fingernails, whether it was from helping others with their car, years of racing, or working on his Corvette, which he loved second only to his family and friends. He never met a stranger, they were always a future friend. He was a proud and active member of the Texas Corvette Association and treasured his many friends he met there. He took great joy in partnering with other members of the club, working tirelessly to help raise funds for St. Jude's Ranch for Children through the annual club car show and related events. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, and oldest brother, Jim Rose. He is survived by his wife of almost 40 years, Linda Rose, daughters Sharon Flack and husband David, Regina Huerta and husband Robert, 6 grandchildren, brothers Doby Rose and wife Louise, Mark Rose and wife Donna, sister Beth Haber and husband Jim, numerous nieces and nephews, father and mother-in-law Fred and Barbara Martin, longtime friend Art Olsen, and beloved cat, Trouble. Please join us in a celebration of Bill's life on Friday, December 13, 2013, at 10:00AM at Schertz Funeral Home, Schertz, Texas. All services will conclude in the chapel.
