Beverly Jean Reid of Cedar Park, Texas slipped quietly and quickly from this world Friday, April 19, 2013. Beverly, better known as Boogie to family and friends, was born March 28, 1938 in Oak Hill, West Virginia to John and Mildred Blake, both deceased. Boogie was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-four years Gary Reid, Sr., her brother Denny Blake, and her sister JoAnn Blake Shirey. Boogie is survived by her four children and their spouses: Gary Jr. and Joyce Reid, Pamela and Sterling McGregor, Kathy and Chris Bunker, and Angela and Rick Lucero; fourteen grandchildren Connor, Carly and Coy Reid; Meghan, John Sterling, Stewart and Arthur McGregor; Blake, Kenady, Dylan, and Easton Bunker; Derrick, Amanda, and Dustin Lucero; three sister-in-law Dorothy Blake, Roberta Reid, and Shirley Reid Bain; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Boogie was a wonderful and compassionate wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all. She had a deep love for music, dance, writing, and life and was very loved by all who knew her. She will be missed by many. Funeral Service will be Friday, April 26, 2013 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 13201 Forum Rd., Universal City, TX (210-945-0325) at 9:30am. Family will receive friends from 8:45am to 9:15am. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
