Betty Thompson

Betty "Jean" Thompson, born on August 22, 1925, in Whitewright, Texas, passed away on April 4, 2016, in Bozeman, Montana, at the age of 90. She was an administrative assistant at First Baptist Academy in Universal City. Betty is preceded in death by her loving husband, Jack; parents, Ruby and Lee Whitworth; sisters, Bonnye and Dorothe. She is survived by her children, Janis Jean Fielder and husband, Ron of Pasadena, TX, Jon Edward Thompson and wife, Brenda of Boerne, TX, James Lee Thompson and wife, Tricia of Bozeman, MT, Joseph Robert Thompson and wife DeAnna of Helotes, TX, and Jill JoAnn Koerth and husband, Ronald of San Angelo, TX; twelve grandchildren; five great grandchildren. The visitation service will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2016, at 12:00 PM, at First Baptist Church of Universal City with the funeral service to begin at 1:00PM. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to the Jean Thompson Scholarship Fund at First Baptist Church of Universal City.
