It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Bettie Ann Tarin, who lost her courageous battle with Stage 4 Breast Cancer on Sunday, January 19th, 2025. Bettie was surrounded by her loving family in her final weeks, leaving behind a legacy of strength, love and resilience.
Bettie was born on December 9, 1942, to Henry and Annie Bell Glover of Mt. Vernon, TX. Bettie graduated from Edcouch-Elsa High School and went on to graduate from South Texas Commercial College in Corpus Christi, TX. It was her time working in McAllen, TX as a Telephone Operator for Southwestern Bell that she met the love of her life, Ernest L Tarin. They shared a beautiful marriage of 52 years.
Bettie was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Annie Bell Glover, and her twin brother, Bobby Dan. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Ernest Lynn; her two daughters, Colette (son-in-law Lacey Moss) and Desti (son-in-law Phil Galicia); her three cherished grandchildren, Amber Volkmann, Delanie Galicia, and Gavin Galicia; and her two precious great-grandchildren, Cybella and Deacon Volkmann; as well as her sister-in-law Judy Candler and her extended family of cousins and dear friends who loved her deeply.
Bettie will be remembered for her unwavering spirit, and her infectious laughter. She dedicated her life to her family, who will forever cherish the memories they shared with her.
A visitation for Bettie will be held on Sunday, February 23 from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM at Schertz Funeral Home located at 2217 FM 3009, Schertz, TX 78154
