Bette Dodds

July 23, 1934 — February 23, 2013

Bette Rae Dodds (nee Bell) entered the kingdom of the Lord on February 23, 2013. Bette was born on July 23, 1934 in Combs, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Merle Bell. She is survived by her husband George Dodds (USAF, retired); her five children, Linda, Mike (married to Chris), Ray (married to Kathy), Mark (married to Amy), and Sandra (married to Ed); and her four grandchildren Kelsey Ostroski (marred to Matt), Josh Yoder, Adam, and Alex Dodds. Funeral services were held at First Baptist Church on February 26, 2013 with private burial at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Bette was a faithful member of the Universal City First Baptist Church. Although she grew up in Tucson, Bette traveled the world with her family until settling in San Antonio in 1986. She was the heart and soul of her family and touched the lives of many people. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Services at First Baptist Church, 1401 Pat Booker Rd, Universal City, Texas, Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at 2:15PM. Interment will be at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on March 4, 2013 at 11:15AM.
