Bert E. Hyatt  born on December 13, 1947 in De Quincy, LA, passed away on January 2, 2021 at home with his family by his side. Bert graduated from New Braunfels High School and went on to study at San Marcos College. He proudly joined the US Navy during the Vietnam War. Returning from the Navy Bert worked at the Main Bank of San Antonio and eventually was hired by Lone Star Brewery to open a new division in Leasing/Trucking. This in time led to moving into transportation with Ryder Trucking and began his occupation in transportation and logistics. In August of 1976 Bert was accepted into the Randolph Masonic Lodge of Schertz. In 1993 he became a Shriner in Omaha, Nebraska and before moving back home to Schertz Bert transferred to Alzafar Shrine of San Antonio. Bert's happiest times were those spent with his family and with his sons hunting and fishing. He loved his football , both college and pro.

Bert is preceded in by his parents, C.E. Hyatt and Debra Wincey Hyatt; sisters, Joan Drennan-Taylor and Judy Darling Baumann. He is survived by his loving wife, Gail Biegert Hyatt; sons, Jason and wife Monica Hyatt of Boerne, Texas, Billy and wife Amy Hyatt of Universal City, Texas; grandchildren, Chase and Dylan Hyatt of Universal City, Texas.

Due to Covid-19 the family will hold a private service. In lieu of flowers the family as asked that memorial donations be made in his name to the Shriner's Children Hospital
