Bennie Byley

June 2, 1929 — November 15, 2009

Bennie Ray Byley passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2009, in his home with loving family in attendance. He is survived by son, Bennie Joe Byley, daughters, Virginia Byley Galloway and Pam Byley Sanderson; sister, Imogene Cochran, eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Bennie joins our mother, Mattie Cross Byley, who passed away in 2002. He will be sorely missed by all he knew around the Schertz area and the congregation of The Country Church in Marion, Texas. Also known as Mr. Byley, Ben, Ben Byley, Hun, Dad, Poppa Ben, Uncle, and most of all PaPa by his closest friends. We will all be left with great memories. Visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. at Schertz Funeral Home on Friday, November 20, 2009 with funeral services following at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at St. Johns Lutheran Cemetery in Marion, Texas. Brother Butch Ikels will preside over the services with music by Ruth Ann Jewett. His grandsons will serve as pallbearers: Aric Rodak, Mike Rodak, Nick Sanderson and Brandon Byley
