Benita Owens

June 6, 1956 — March 5, 2015

Benita Ann Owens (Bonnie) was born on June 6, 1956 in Florence, Colorado. She passed away on March 5, 2015, in Schertz, Texas at the age of 58. Benita served in the United States Air Force from June of 1975 to August of 1979. She also worked for the U.S government in various positions for over 30 years. Her last position was with the Air Force Personnel Center at Randolph Air Force Base. Benita enjoyed cross stitching and loved spending time with her granddaughter. Benita is survived by her loving husband, Gary Owens; Sons, Christopher Owens of San Antonio, TX, and Gregory Owens of Schertz, Texas; Brothers, Frank Gomez of Amarillo, Texas, Jim Gomez of Nora Springs, Iowa, and Tim Gomez of Seminole, Texas; Sisters, Patsy Jaramillo of Taiban, New Mexico and Dorothy Werne of Indianapolis, Indiana; and Grand- daughter Isabel Owens. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13, 2015, at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. All services will conclude that evening.
