Belia (Betty) King, age 97, went home to be with our Lord on April 25, 2016 in New Braunfels, Texas. She was born on December 26, 1918 to Eulogio and Juanita Salinas in Saspamco, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Evin King, her parents, a brother, two sisters, son-in-law and daughter-in-law. She is survived by her son, Evin, Jr. and wife, Patricia; daughter, JoAnn Sager; son, Jerry King; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one sister; one brother; numerous loving nieces, nephews and many friends.
She loved the Lord and as long as she was able, she read her daily devotions. "God Bless You" was a phrase she used for everyone she was around. Betty's family was always the center of her world. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She would play with them on the floor and enjoyed singing and dancing performances from them. She also loved to watch "her Spurs" and the Dallas Cowboys. She will especially be remembered for her loving attitude and beautiful smile.
Visitation with the family will be at 9:30AM on April 28, 2016, with services at 10:30AM immediately following at Schertz Funeral Home, 2217 FM 3009, Schertz, TX. Rev. Don Fraker, Cross Lutheran Church, of New Braunfels,TX, to officiate with interment following at Chapel Hill Memorial Park, 7735 Gibbs Sprawl Rd., San Antonio, TX. Serving as Pallbearers: Aaron King, Anthony Hicks, Bruce, Elijah and Zachary Biedinger.
