Beatrice Saunderson

Beatrice Leon Saunderson of Garden Ridge, TX went to be with the Lord, surrounded by her family on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at the age of 72. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on December 8, 1950 to her parents Felix and Beatrice Leon.

She was a Property Manager at Val Verde Apartments for over 40 years, and was always a devout Catholic and member of OLPH church – which she showed by supporting many church fundraisers and charities. Some of her interests included BINGO, slot machines, shopping, and BINGO!

She was a true firecracker! Beatrice was known for being full of life, outspoken, spunky, and spicy while at the same time always taking care of others. She was very supportive, loyal, and proud of her family, they always came first and were her greatest legacy.

Beatrice is preceded in death by her son James Charles Saunderson, her parents Felix and Beatrice Leon, and her brother Felix Leon Jr.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Charles Saunderson, who adored, respected, and took care of her every day for close to 50 years. She is also survived by her children; Tina Angela Ramirez-Tubbs and William Bruce Tubbs and Laura Saunderson, her 12 Grandchildren; Desaree & Michael, Emma, Timothy, Tiffany, Brian, Aaron, Jason, Dillon, Colton, Alexis, Olivia, Aspen, her 14 Great Grandchildren; Dominique, Marcella, Javier, Bella, Tiago, Emmanuel, Haven, Paul, Charlie, Hailey, Brody, Zoe, Brooke, Katelynn, and her siblings; Mary & Rudy Hernandez, Albert Leon, Adela & Bobby Camarillo, Alice Leon, Margie & Darren Doege, Paul & Barbie Leon, Gabe Leon, and Robert & Amanda Leon.

There will be a Visitation held at Schertz Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM, with a Rosary recited at 7:00 PM. The Funeral Mass will be the following day at OLPH on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral procession to Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery for the Graveside Service.
