Barbara Nelson

November 11, 1951 — October 3, 2010

Our Sweet Barbie has passed on and left us behind. In this life she was a kind and gentle person with so much compassion. She loved everyone she met. She had a good life and leaves us many joyous memories and so much love. We say good-bye for now but not for always, we will be together again. Your loving family. The family would life to thank all the wonderful friends who gave us so much support. It has helped us through this so very much. We also want to thank VITAS Hospice Care for their wonderful staff and support system. Barbara Nelson, age 58, went to be with the Lord on 10/3/2010. Barbara was born on November 11, 1951. Barbara was preceded in death by her father, Carroll Nelson, her step-father, Robert Bowman and her sister, Shirley Nelson. She is survived by her mother, Christel Bowman; brothers, James & Lonnie Nelson; sister, Janene Smith; her longtime companion, Eddie Hillard; 2 nephews, 1 niece, numerous extended family members and many wonderful friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Animal Defense League. A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel.
