Barbara Carolyn Knight, age 82, passed away on February 10, 2020 in Schertz, Texas. She was born on November 28, 1937 to Lorainne Mills in Joaquin, Texas. Barbara’s favorite pastime was sewing and embroidering. She was known to make many outfits for her children, grandchildren, as well as for her collection of dolls. Once, she had a special opportunity to make about 200 dresses for little girls in Kenya. She was honored and felt very blessed to be part of that outreach program. She was very charitable, and on one occasion bought many prom dresses for young girls that could not afford one. Of course, most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren!
Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Bill; children: Carol, Billy and Theresa & their families; grandchildren: Justin, Crystal, Megan, Rob and Carrie & their families; siblings: Mary, Kirk and Joyce; as well as many other family members and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 5:00-8:00PM on Monday, February 24, 2020, in the Bluebonnet Room (Building #5) at the Schertz Civic Center, 1400 Schertz Pkwy, Schertz, Texas 78154.
