Barbara Harlan

Barbara Louise Harlan, age 82, passed away on March 28, 2018 in New Braunfels, Texas. She was born on July 18, 1935 to Maynard Cheek and Martha Louise McCrary in Dallas, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Harlan; son, Jerol D. Gill; and brother, Jake L. Keller. Barbara is survived by her daughter, Nancy G. Warren & husband, Mark; grandchildren, Robert Rider and Haley Rider; sisters, Kathie Keller and Karen Minica & husband Zeke; as well as many other close relatives and friends.

Barbara loved the beach, fishing and playing card games. She had a love for country music and dancing. She was also a devoted Republican woman and was active in the Republican Party. Most of all, Barbara loved life, and her family and friends.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Hope Hospice and Dr. Antonio Alvarado for taking such good care of Barbara. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hope Hospice or to The Salvation Army.

Services will be held at a later date.
