Barbara Finn

July 6, 1951 — July 10, 2020

Barbara “Barb” Finn (née Dillon) died on July 10, 2020, in San Antonio, TX, due to an aggressive form of pancreatic cancer. She had recently celebrated her 69th birthday.

On July 6, 1951, Barb was born in Rome, NY, to her parents Joseph and Clara Dillon. Barb grew up on a farm in upstate NY as the sassy middle child of three girls and loved retelling stories of her adventures. After her two oldest children joined the military, she moved her two youngest to Texas for their final years of high school. She had many friends at, and enjoyed working for, the American Legion until her retirement in 2018. In her remaining years, Barb dedicated herself to spending time with her daughter and grandson. She also loved westerns, especially John Wayne, and all things Christmas.

Barb is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, John & Jackie Finn of Jacksonville, FL; her daughter, Cynthia Finn of Universal City, TX; her son & daughter-in-law, David & Amanda Finn of Cibolo, TX; her son, Patrick Finn of Jacksonville, FL; her two sisters, Kathy Keeney & Pat Carleton; and five wonderful grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her longtime love, William “Bill” Sinclair.

Barb will be cremated, and an open house memorial visitation is scheduled for 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Saturday, July 25, 2020, at Schertz Funeral Home. All are welcome to stop by to celebrate Barb’s life. Flowers and condolences may be sent to the funeral home at 2217 FM 3009, Schertz, TX 78154.
