Barbara Cawvey
June 13, 1948 — December 23, 2009
Barbara Sue Cawvey, age 61 of Schertz, passed away December 23, 2009. Sue was a "Ray of Sunshine" and touched many lives with her charm and beautiful smile. She enjoyed reading and listening to country music. One of her pleasures was crocheting blankets for her family, friends, kitties and dogs. She looked forward to playing bingo at the VFW and "celebrated" quite a few times. Sue also enjoyed volunteering at both Autumn Winds Retirement Lodge and the Schertz Library. She will be missed dearly by her cat, "Angel". She is preceded in death by her father, Ernest F. Cawvey and two brothers, Ernie Cawvey, Jr. & Stevie Cawvey. Sue is survived by her mother, Louise M. Cawvey; sisters, Carol Cawvey, Jean Perry and Mary Cawvey, all of the area; sister-in-law, Susan Klein of Ohio; cousins, Janet & husband, Billy of Connecticut, Sandra & husband, Willy of Bandera, Texas, Nancy & husband, Curly of North Carolina, Betty Ann & husband, Mark of Louisiana and Linda & husband, John of Connecticut; second cousin, Mary & family of New York; nieces & nephews, Ernie of Michigan, Katie of Ohio, Amy of Texas and David of Mexico; grandniece & grandnephew, Alye & Austyn, both of Texas; her best friends, Linda of Louisiana and William of San Antonio; numerous other relatives and dear friends. Graveside Services & Interment will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at Selma Catholic Cemetery #2 in Selma, Texas. Memorial Donations may be made to the Schertz Animal Shelter.
