A bundle of joy, Arthur James Williams came into the world to James and Louise Williams in Queens, New York. Arthur was very athletic as a young man. He enjoyed playing basketball, stickball, handball, and baseball. He was a boy scout at an early age as well. He worked part time with his dad and uncle at Try Me Hand Laundry. His nickname was Dixie which was a name that was lovingly given to him by his Aunt Queenie. He was a plumber, an independent contractor, a fixer upper long before Google, YouTube and DIY were a thing. He was an avid creator of amazing art with many paintings in his portfolio.

Arthur attended Forest Hills High School in Queens, New York where he was president of the Black Student Union. High School is where he met the love of his life Debra Ann-Theresa Romain. After graduating from high school, Arthur joined the US Air Force. Later after leaving the Air Force with an Honorable Discharge, Arthur obtained his bachelor’s degree in Geology from York College. In 1974 Arthur and Debi became husband and wife. Taniesha was the first to bless their happy union, followed by their first son Aaron.
