Arthur Stemmermann

Arthur Theodore Stemmermann passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 4, 2009. He was born in New York City on June 6, 1922. Arthur was preceded in death by his wife, Greta Werner Stemmermann and his daughter, Laura G. Laird. He is survived by his daughter, Marsha K. Shaffer and her husband, Dennis; son, Arthur T. Stemmermann, Jr. and wife, Marcia; daughter, Donna L. Brown and husband, Larry; son, Peter J. Stemmermann and wife, Patti; and son, Mark W. Stemmermann and wife, Christine, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Arthur was in the Army Air Corps and the U. S. Air Force for over 21 years. Visitation will be held at Schertz Funeral Home, 2217 FM 3009, Schertz, Texas, on Friday, October 9, 2009, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. with the funeral service following at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in El Paso, Texas at Fort Bliss National Cemetery on Monday, October 12, 2009, at 9:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes a donation be made to the Alzheimers Foundation of America.
