Arthur Fowler, Jr.

December 16, 1935 — July 31, 2013

Arthur Joseph Fowler, Jr., age 76, of Cibolo, Texas passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 in his home after a brief battle with lung cancer. Arthur, or Buddy, as he was known boy friends and family, was born in Kings Cross Hospital in The Bronx, NY on December 16, 1935. He was a 1953 graduate of Rosbury High School, Roxbury, NJ. Arthur was married to Linda Sonneborn and later Phyllis Scanlon. Arthur served in the U. S. Air Force from 1954-1957 in both Newfoundland, Canada and Texas. After military service, he worked for Warner Lambert Pharmaceuticals, Morris Plains, NJ as a computer programmer and analyst. He loved camping, fishing and sports. Analytically astute, Arthur also loved games, word puzzles, and card games. Arthur is survived by 5 children, Tom, Denise, Donna, Tim and Joe; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Catherine; 1 niece, and 5 nephews. Family will receive friends at Schertz Funeral Home from 3:00PM to 5:00PM on Sunday, August 4, 2013. Graveside Service will be Monday, August 5, 2013 at 11:00AM at Holy Cross Cemetery, 17501 Nacogdoches Rd, San Antonio, TX 78266.
