Armando Moreno

October 26, 1967 — February 4, 2017

Armando "Manny" Chavarria Moreno of Cibolo, TX passed away February 4, 2017, at the age of 49, after an 18 month battle with pancreatic cancer. Armando was born in Ft. Campbell, Ky on October 26, 1967. He graduated from Three Rivers High School in 1986, enlisted in the US Navy and later retired as a Fire Controlman 1st Class. Upon retirement he was employed by Jostens in Denton, TX as a maintenance mechanic and then Cemex in New Braunfels, TX as an electrician. Armando was active with Alamo Area Rocketeers and Cub Scout Pack 51 of Schertz, TX. His hobbies included spending copious amounts of time with his Corvette, riding his Ducati, and entertaining his children with his Chicken Dance model train. Armando is survived by his loving wife of 11 years, Sharon. Armando is lovingly remembered by his children Armando Jr., Elizabeth, and Roselynn of Cibolo, TX; mother Carmelita Moreno of Three Rivers, TX; sisters Sandra Moreno of Red Oak, TX, Anita (Jeff) Noakes of Glen Allen, VA, and Yolanda Cunningham of Plano, TX; his nieces and nephews; and the rest of his family and friends. Armando is preceded in death by his father Charles Gilbert Moreno, Jr and brother Luis Daniel Saenz. The family of Armando Moreno would like to thank Embrace Hospice and their staff for their wonderful care and support. Visitation will be held February 10, 2017 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at Schertz Funeral Home. Rosary will be recited at 7:00pm by Deacon Shane Katzfey. Services will be held February 11, 2017, at 10:00AM, at Schertz Funeral Home, with Father Ed Pavlicek officiating. Flowers and condolences may be sent to 104 Lone Star Way, Cibolo, TX 78108.
