Armando Hernandez, Sr.

It is with great sadness that the family of Armando (Andy) Hernandez, Sr. announce his passing on January 22, 2020 at the age of 75.  He was born on August 14, 1944 in Nixon, TX to Jose and Tomasa, who precede him in death.  Andy was also preceded in death by his brother Jose Hernandez, Jr.

Andy is survived by his wife Lody of 46 years, daughter Giselle (Julio) Zamago, son Armando Hernandez, Jr., daughter Patty Hernandez, daughter-in-law Heather Hernandez, as well as his grandchildren: Justin, Joshua, Gavin, Julianne and Zoie. He is also survived by his sister Evelyn (Zeke) Medina, brother Rudy (Nina) Hernandez, sister Cynthia Hernandez, brother Carlos Hernandez, sister-in-laws Alice Hernandez and Sarah Hernandez, brother-in-law Dimitri (Jenny) Delgado, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was a loving husband, dad and grandpa, and will be missed by all those whose life he touched.

Visitation will be held at Schertz Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00pm. Funeral Mass will be conducted on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at 11:00am, at St. Monica Catholic Church, 501 North St, Converse, Texas 78109.  Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
