Anthony Trezza, Jr.
November 29, 1937 — June 23, 2015
Col Anthony Trezza Jr., USAF (Ret) after a long and courageous fight with a failing heart, said goodbye to this world on June 23, 2015. Tony was proud to claim the title of United States Marine for 6 1/2 years and then finished his career with a 30 year stint in the Air Force, retiring in 1994. He was an incredible, son, brother, Marine, Officer, leader, friend, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew and loved him. Tony was born in Freehold, New Jersey on November 29, 1937 to parents, Anthony Trezza, and Mary Reynolds. At 17, Tony enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, highlighted by an assignment to the Rome Embassy. He received his AF Commission in 1964 from Fresno State University. Assignments to Whiteman, Goose Bay, Carswell, San Vito, Lowry, and command assignments to Duluth, Zaragoza, Clark, Rhein-Main and Lowry. He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife and mother of his children, Sue Trezza; beloved dog, Duke. Tony is survived by his wife, Cathy; son, Anthony (Tony) Trezza, and wife, Inge; daughter, Andrea Trezza-Lutz; grandchildren, Brett, Anthony, Ryan, and Annie; stepson, Danny, and his children; sister, Grace Trezza Abramov, and her husband Vic, along with numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 2, 2015, from 5:00PM until 9:00PM at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Service will be held Friday, July 3, 2015 at 11:00AM at the Schertz Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with full United States Air Force Honors.
