Anthony Morales

July 23, 1951 — August 30, 2017

Anthony R. (Tony) Morales of Schertz, Texas, passed away on August 30, 2017, at the age of 66 after a long and hard- fought battle with pancreatic cancer. Tony was born in San Antonio, Texas to Betty and Earnest Morales. He is preceded in death by his father, grandparents and Lola, his Shar-Pei he dearly loved.

Tony is survived by his mother Betty Morales, wife Lisa, son Brandon (Jana) Morales, daughter Erin Morales, sisters Maria Fletcher and Donna (Jaime) Salas and numerous nieces and nephews.

Tony graduated from Thomas Edison High School in San Antonio in 1969. He enlisted and served in the United States Marine Corps. He continued his education at Temple Jr. College where he played baseball and met Lisa where they later married in 1973. While they lived in Temple, Tony worked as a Plant Manager in the aluminum die cast business.

They moved to Schertz in 1990 and Tony continued his work in the die casting field. He later opened his own business, Southwest Laser Engraving, in Universal City. He also worked insurance claims and enjoyed assisting people whose situations were often devastating due to hurricanes and floods. Tony was known for his sense of humor, helping others, barbequing, camping, fishing and was an avid sports fan. He truly never met a stranger, as most already know.

A memorial service for Tony will be held at 8:00 am on Thursday, September 7th, 2017, at Schertz Funeral home in Schertz, Texas. Full military honors will be held at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery at 9:45am.
