Annie Morgan
December 22, 1933 — March 1, 2015
Annie Mae Morgan was born December 22, 1933 in Kewanee, MS to James Percy Tingle and Jessie Mae Reed one of six children of that union. She joined Green Hill Baptist Church at an early age and was called home to the Lord March 1, 2015 at 9:15 am. She united into Holy Matrimony with Calvin Morgan, Sr. in 1951. To that union four children were born, Calvin Jr., Margaret, Kenneth, and Larry (Mee Yu). The family resided in Markham, IL for a time and then Annie and Calvin Sr. later moved to York, AL after his retirement in 1993. Annie's husband Calvin, her parents and five brothers (J.T. Tingle, Robert Tingle, John L. Crump, James P. Tingle, William Ford, Jr., one sister Clemmie E. Williams and her sister-in-law Yvonne Tillery preceded her in death. Annie leaves to cherish her memory: one sister, Willie Mae Curry of Meridian, MS, two brothers: Walter L. Crump of Meridian, MS, and Albert Tingle of Meridian, MS, one sister-in-law Nellie Ford of Toomsuba, MS, step-daughter Rosie Austin (Johnnie) of York, AL, two brother-in-laws: James Matthew (Rose Mary) of Lansing, MI and Leonard Tillery of Dolton, IL; two sister-in-laws: Wynona Daniels of Lansing, MI, Marie Brent of Chicago, IL; seven grandchildren: LaToya Austin-Wade (Coty) of McCalla, Al, Slyretta Simpson of Huntsville, Al, Catrina Ross (Ricardo) of Lansing, IL, Candace Cheri Morgan of Chicago, IL, Craig Morgan of Chicago, IL, Leslie Morgan of Chicago, IL and Kailan Morgan of Roundrock, TX and a host of nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2015 followed by a funeral service at the Schertz Funeral Home on Friday, March 13, 2015, officiated by Pastor Joe Walts. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
