Annetta Wilkinson

July 8, 1924 — February 9, 2018

Annetta Wilkinson was born July 08, 1924 in Vestaburg, Pennsylvania to Jake and Sarah Burns Williams and passed away on February 09, 2018, in New Braunfels, Texas at the age of 93.

After marrying her husband in 1945, Warren D. Wilkinson, Annetta spent her days as a devoted housewife and mother to her four children. The family was stationed in many places, including Guam, Japan, Florida, Kansas, Ohio, Georgia and the Pentagon before settling in Garden Ridge, Texas where Colonel Wilkinson retired from Randolph Air Force Base in 1974. Annetta was a 51 year member of Randolph Chapel where she taught Sunday School and participated in the choir and PWOC. She enjoyed stopping by Autumn Winds Assisted Living facility to play bingo and visit with the residents.

Annetta was preceded in death by her husband Col. Warren D. Wilkinson and sons George Wilkinson and Larry Wilkinson. She is survived by her daughters Becky Houy & husband Gerald of Cibolo, TX, and Janet Tehee & husband Stan of Tehachapi,CA; daughter-in-law Sheila Wilkinson; grandchildren Fred Houy, Brendan Behrns, Anthony Wilkinson, Shannon Wilkinson and Kevin Wilkinson; great grandchildren Sarah Wilkinson, William Wilkinson and Daniella Wilkinson; as well as numerous granddogs.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Schertz Funeral Home from 4:00pm - 7:00pm. Interment will be a graveside service Thursday, March 01, 2018 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 11:00am.
