Anne Walsh
December 10, 1955 — May 29, 2014
Anne Greenwell Walsh, loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend lost her brave battle with cancer and joined our Lord in His kingdom on May 29, 2014 in San Antonio TX. Her 58 years with her family, friends and community were filled with many wonderful memories, laughter, joy, tears, and love. Her strength, faith and determination were seen throughout her life but especially through her journey with cancer. She loved to laugh, cook, spend time with family and friends, vacation at the beach, teaching her students and especially being a grandma. Anne will be missed by many but will forever be in our hearts. Anne is preceded in death by her parents Robert and JoAnn Greenwell. She is survived by her husband Joseph L. (Lex) Walsh, daughter Jennifer Murphy; grandson Clayton Murphy, twins Megan and Amy Walsh; brothers Stephen Greenwell and wife Paige, Bill Greenwell and wife Nazie; sister Mary Stone and husband Bill; brothers Robert Greenwell, Paul Greenwell and wife Amy; nieces and nephews Gary Lee and Travis Trentham, Tiffany, Rachel, and David Greenwell, Soraya El-Moussa and Michael Carrel. A visitation will be held on Monday, June 2, 2014 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm with a rosary to be recited at 7:00pm, at the Schertz Funeral Home chapel. Funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, June 3, 2014, 10:00am at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Selma Cemetery No. 2. Flowers are welcomed or family requests donations to be made to the American Cancer Society or to the American Heart Association.
