Ann Runion

Ann Marie, 56, of Liberty Hill passed away February 23, 2014 as a result of a long battle with cancer. She was surrounded by family when she drifted off to be with the Lord. She was born to Francis and Annamarie Kiernan of Brooklyn, NY. Ann Marie had recently moved to Liberty Hill, TX after living in Sarasota/Bradenton, FL for over 30 years. She worked in Manatee Memorial Hospital as a Unit Secretary in the Labor and Delivery unit. She was most known for her love of children and passion of those less fortunate. She made several mission trips to Jacmel, Haiti serving at Kenbe Fem Ministry and their orphanage. She attended Lakewood Christian Church in Lakewood, FL. She was an amazing single mother that raised her daughters, Shawna and Leann. She was a sweet woman with a great smile that will be missed by many. Ann Marie is survived by her parents Francis and Annamarie Kiernan; her brother Stephen Kiernan and sisters Donna Toney and Kathleen Kiernan. She also leaves her daughters and their families; Shawna, Frank, Anthony, Alexandria, Chris Roe and Leann, Danny, Riann, and Joseph Pye. She is also survived by several loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, and a host of friends. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Schertz Funeral Home in Schertz, Texas. The viewing will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 27th at the funeral home; and the service will begin at 2:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations to Kenbe Fem Ministry, P.O. Box 202, Friendswood, TX 77549. She always considered the children in this orphanage as her grandchildren.
