Anilia Leon

Anilia Tamez DeLeon, born on September 6, 1925 in Zapata, TX to Antonio and Isabel Tamez, passed away on March 7, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family members. She is preceded in death by her husband Blas DeLeon, Sr., her parents, three sisters and one brother. Survivors include her sons, Blas DeLeon, Jr. and his wife Beatriz, Benny DeLeon, Sr., Oscar DeLeon, Sr., and Mike DeLeon; brother, Esmerejildo Tamez, 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at Schertz Funeral Home, from 1:00PM-9:00PM, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00PM. The Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, March 13, 2013, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, at 10:00AM. Interment will follow at Selma Cemetery #2.
