Andrew Morales

May 21, 1946 — February 13, 2013

Andrew E. Morales, age 66, went to be with the Lord on February 13, 2013. Andy, a lifelong resident of San Antonio, was a graduate of Sam Houston High School. He was a dedicated employee of VIA Metropolitan Transit for more than 30 years and had been enjoying retirement since 2008. He is preceded in death by his parents " Andres Cosme and Doris Morales, as well as his daughter-in-law, Cindy Morales and his two great grandsons, Skylar Rene Martin and Riley Morgan Martin. He is survived by his wife, Rita H. Morales, his children; Robert Morales, Anna Barton, and Debra Gonzales and husband, Michael; step-children, Benjamin Alvarado, III and wife, Maricela, Patricia Larson and husband, Peter, and Regina Untereiner and husband Bryan; grandchildren, Shauna, Jessica, Justin, Felicia, Logan, Jacob, Daniel, Emma Grace, Gregory, Kassandra, Hailey, Phoenix, Westley, Reagan and Claire. He is also survived by his siblings: Alicia Burns and husband Ray, George Morales and wife, Lucille, and Annette Sweet. He was also a proud great grandfather of 7 and the favorite uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 17, 2013, at Schertz Funeral Home, from 3:00PM-7:00PM, with a rosary to be recited at 6:00PM. The Funeral Service will be on Monday, February 18, 2013, at Schertz Funeral Home, at 11:00AM. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
