Amy Waldrop

September 29, 1966 — May 28, 2011

Amy Dyan Waldrop, age 44 of Schertz, Texas, passed away suddenly on Saturday, 28 May 2011 in San Antonio, Texas from a pulmonary embolism. Amy was born on 29 September 1966 at Wheelus AFB in Tripoli, Libya. Amy is a graduate of Samuel Clemens High School (class of 1984) in Schertz and University of Texas at San Antonio. Amy was our family's baby girl, our rock, the center post of our family, and our best friend. There is now a hole in the middle of our family her exact size and shape. We miss her more than words can say but we know her spirit will live forever in our hearts. Amy was an employee of Altex Electronics corporate office and leaves behind many co-workers and friends whom she loved very much. She also leaves behind many friends from her childhood and later years that she considered family. Amy is predeceased by her father, USAF MSgt (ret) Reb H. Waldrop. She is survived by her mother, Betty Jean Childs Waldrop of Schertz, and her brother and sister, Mark H. Waldrop of Cibolo and Patricia (Patsy) G. Waldrop of McQueeney. She also leaves behind her beloved Mason. According to her wishes, Amy was cremated and there will be no services of any kind. No flowers please. Anyone wishing to do so, please make a donation in Amys name to the Animal Defense League or American Humane Society.
