Amada Kuehn

September 13, 1935 — November 5, 2015

Amada Kuehn, age 80 of Universal City, Texas, went to be with the Lord Thursday, November 5, 2015. Mom was loved so very much and will be greatly missed. We don't know how we will live without her. But we know that she would want us to continue on and take care of Dad and celebrate life. Mom was God's biggest fan. She lived her life in his word. Mom raised the family with this as our foundation with Guidance, Family, Strength, Faith, Perseverance and Love. She was a dedicated military wife and mother. Mom's strength and fortitude was a true example or her selflessness. She loved us unconditional and was and is our rock. Mom and dad have been married 60 years, through these years there where trials and tribulations which instilled in us that wherever we are and whatever we do, put God first. Mom, born in Eagle Pass, Texas, met dad there. They married in 1955. Amada was an Air Force wife and enjoyed traveling near and afar. During her life, they were stationed in Del Rio, Waco, Lubbock, England, Laredo and Randolph Air Force Base which brought us back to our family. Family and relatives were always visiting or being visited; always involved and close whether in Texas, Wisconsin or Michigan. Amada was a Cosmetologist for many years and Legal clerk for Fort Sam Houston Legal office. Mom and Dad played an important part in being involved in being loving, supportive, involved with baptisms, confirmations, and representing as God parents for all of us and our cousins. Guidance She was always supportive of her children's activities in school whether it was band, baseball, football, softball or cheerleading. Mom and her family enjoyed the outdoors, camping and RV traveling. She enjoys family gathering and celebrations and was the life of the party. In her later years, who would have imagined that she would learn the game of basketball and become the San Antonio SPURS biggest fan? We are so blessed to have shared many of those adventures with her. Family Being a military family there were times when dad was gone for periods to be on "TDY"- tour of duties; Vietnam War; which meant mom had to tend to the kids, day to day schedules, the household; in other words hold down the fort. Strength And through the years Mom watched the family grow and go on to their life's path, whether far or near. Always instilling in us to put: God and Heart first. Faith Mom endured life's ups and down's through each decade, the good with whatever life imparted; and whatever life endeared. Perseverance Mom and Dad were together 60 years. Love She was Preceded in death by her parents, Trinidad and Maria De Jesus Flores; brother, Faustino Flores; sisters, Concha Espinosa, Fina Diaz, Amelia Cardenas, Janie Gonzales and daughter, Mary Karen Kuehn Survivors include her spouse of 60 years, George Robert Kuehn Sr. of Universal City, Texas; sons, George R. Kuehn Jr. of Denton , Texas and James Edward Kuehn, of Parsberg, Germany; daughters Belinda Sue Nickens, of Seguin, Texas and Rosemarie Kuehn, of Chesterfield , Missouri; grandchildren, Christopher Kuehn, Jaime Kuehn, Daniel Kuehn, Dominique Joy Kuehn, Crystal Albert, John Michael Albert; great-grandchildren, Jazzlyn Rose Albert Payne, Nevaeh Tnes Ashanti Albert Payne; Emily Nicole Kuehn; Angel Markus Kuehn, Caleb Alexander Kuehn, Daniel Walter Kuehn, Kimber Jade Albert; sisters, Irma Diaz of San Antonio, Texas and Mary Ewald Flores, of Michigan; brother, Rolando Flores, of San Antonio, Texas.
