Alouis Lejeski
March 7, 1917 — September 19, 2013
Alouis Albert Lejeski, born March 7, 1917 in Adkins, Texas entered eternal rest on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at the blessed age of 96 years. He will be united with his parents, Frank and Lucy Pieniazek Lijeski, sisters and brothers-in-law, Edward and Josephine Franckowiak, Clifford and Clara Ciomperlik, Sylvester and Elizabeth Stanush, and Joe Franckowiak. Dad is surrounded by the love of his immediate family, his wife of 67 years, Ernestine Stanush; daughters, Lois and husband, Wayne Vetter, Beverly Lejeski; son, Randy Lejeski and Laura Bosquez; loving grandchildren, Kari and husband, Michael Roudedush, Brenna and husband, Christopher Galle, Callie and Jason Lejeski, and Amanda Tudyk; sister, Eulalia Franckowiak; extended family members; Don Burkarth, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Dad proudly served in the Philippines and Okinawa during WWII, earning 5 Bronze Stars, Good Conduct Medal, and the American Theater Campaign Medal. Alouis retired from the Pearl Brewery after 32 years in the Bottle Shop. He was also a Charter Member of the American Legion, Post #0539, St. Hedwig, Texas. Dad devoted his entire life, dawn to dusk, to agriculture as a farmer and rancher. His love of the land, and his desire to continue this love is an inspiration to all of us. Words cannot express our appreciation to the staff of Heart to Heart Hospice. Visitation will be at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 7955 Real Rd., San Antonio, Texas on Sunday, September 22, 2013 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00PM. A Funeral Mass will be at St. Jerome Catholic Church on Monday, September 23, 2013 at 9:30AM. Interment to follow at Annunciation Catholic Cemetery, St. Hedwig, Texas.
