Algie Ennis

September 18, 1939 — February 18, 2013

Algie Harmon Ennis died February 18, 2013 at the age of 73 after a long illness. He was born on September 18, 1939 in Pittsburg, Oklahoma to Ray and Ina (Murphree) Ennis. Algie served his country honorably in the United States Air Force, was a Vietnam Vet and retired as a Master Sergeant in 1979. After Civil Service retirement in 2002, he and his bride of 53 years, Lareta (Barkdoll) Ennis enjoyed travelling in their motor home with their beloved pets. Algie was an only child and was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Lareta (Rita), daughters Joy (Jonny) Brown and Joni (Tony) Salazar, and grandsons Jake Rutherford, Jess Rutherford and Dean Salazar. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 26, 2013 from 5-9PM at Schertz Funeral Home. Graveside Services and interment will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at 10:30AM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with honors.
