On May 12, 2016, Alfonsa Martinez Rocha, a loving mother, wife, grandmother, sister, and aunt went to be with the Lord.
Born October 30, 1928 in Waco, Texas to Carlotta and Ysaias Martinez.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Rocha; two sons, Charles Jr. and Eddy Rocha; her parents and three siblings.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories her daughter, Elizabeth Morgan (Mike); daughter, Catherine Rocha; grandson, Robert Montes; brothers Johnny (Lily), Joe (Marina), and Tito (Dominga) Martinez of Waco, Texas; brother Bernardo Martinez of Madison, Wisconsin; sisters Irene Martinez of Wichita Falls, Texas and Anita Rodriguez (Martin) of Dallas, Texas as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Mom also leaves behind her faithful and loyal dog, Gigi, who stayed by her side day and night.
The family would also like to express their love and gratitude to Betty Johnston, Yolanda Ovieda, Mary Lou Ortega, Olga Silva, and Maria Martinez who loved and helped care for mom day and night.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2016 from 12:00-4:00 with a Memorial Service from 4:00-4:30 at the Schertz Funeral Home located at 2217 F.M. 3009, Schertz, Tx. 78154. The family will host a reception immediately following the MemorialSservice at the home of Lisa Rocha at 3804 Arroyo Seco in Schertz, Tx. 78154.
