Alexandria "Lexi" Celene Brown was born July 28, 1992 in San Jose, CA to Berta Alicia and Brian Anthony Brown. Lexi walked into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 30, 2017 at the age of 24. She was preceded in death by her brother Brian Antony Brown, Jr. Lexi is survived by her beloved parents Berta Alicia and Brian Anthony Brown and leaves a loving legacy to her sister, Cecilia S. Brown and her brother, Anthony Jace Brown. She is also survived by grandparents, Raul and Berta Garza and Dennis and Delores Brown; boyfriend Robert Dillard and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and loyal friends who loved her dearly. During her younger years, Lexi attended elementary and middle schools in Del Rio, TX. Upon moving to Oklahoma, she attended MacArthur High School where she was part of the Yearbook Staff and Key Club. Lexi graduated high school in 2010 and was recommended and accepted to attend The Oklahoma Institute for Diversity in Journalism. Shortly after graduating from high school, Lexi had the wonderful opportunity to travel extensively through Europe with her family when her father was stationed in Germany. During the 2010-2013 stint, she visited the sites of Paris, Rome, Venice, Piza, Florence, Vicenza, Berlin, Frankfurt, Ré�desheim, Bad Dé�rkheim, The Black Forest of Baden-Wé�rttemberg, Garmisch, Schwangau, Trier, Dachau, Nuremberg, Munich, Bavaria, and Stuttgart. Upon returning to Texas, Lexi attended San Antonio College and recently received an Associate of Arts, with a concentration in Liberal Arts. She was accepted to the University of Incarnate Word's School of Media where she had planned to obtain a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Graphic Design. Lexi is lovingly remembered as a patriot and tenacious leader who was wise beyond her years. She was a loving and kind young woman that anyone would be proud to call daughter, granddaughter, niece and friend. Lexi will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by everyone that loved her. The Brown family will celebrate her life with the following services: Visitation will be held 5-9:00 PM, Tuesday, June 6, 2017 with Family Reflections at 7:00 PM at Schertz Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will also be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, June 7th at Schertz Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Miguel Angel Pérez, Robert Dillard, James Hunter, Reuben Blanton, Sean Dickerson, Tray Washington, Art Ybarra, and Steven Morris.
